As most Canadian immigration programs require language proficiency tests, the Canadian government has labelled language tests for candidates under economic class immigration pathways. These tests will determine which candidates are best suited. These tests will be started by mid 2023. These tests will be part of the Express Entry application and would depend on which province you decide to move. Extra points will be awarded to candidate if the candidate is proficient in both English and French languages.
There are exceptions for some programs e.g. spousal sponsorships and temporary immigration programs like International Experience Canada (IEC)
• International English Language Proficiency Testing System (IELTS)
• Canadian English Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP)
• French Language Evaluation Examination (TEF)
• (TCF) French knowledge test.
